Megan Cloherty

FOX 4 Reporter

Megan Cloherty joined WDAF-TV FOX 4 as a general assignment reporter in January 2007.

Prior to working at WDAF-TV, she was an anchor, reporter, and producer at KDRV in Medford, Oregon.  During her tenure, she was part of a two-man crew that traveled to Camp Selby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to cover Oregon National Guardsmen training for war.  She slept in the barracks, ate what the soldiers ate and really got to experience what our soldiers go through before they head overseas.

Megan knew she wanted to be a reporter by the time she was seven.  She pursued her dream by attending the University of Missouri-Columbia's famed Journalism School, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2003.

Before she took her first reporting job, she had already gained a wealth of experience.  When war broke out in Iraq, she was in London interning for CBS News.  Overnight she went from making tea, to coordinating crew movements in the Middle East. An admitted politics junkie, she was a House Radio/Television intern when President Reagan died.  She brushed elbows with top journalists and politicians as she helped in coordinating the funeral services in the Capitol Rotunda.
