David Cook Appears on Baseball Tonight (August 3, 2009)
KANSAS CITY, MO. -
Former American Idol winner and Blue Springs' native, David Cook, appeared on ESPN's Baseball Tonight over the weekend sporting his love for the Royals.
Cook said. "I've been in love with the Royals since I was a kid." He said he loved Frank White. "He never seemed to do anything but his best."
Cook made a pitch to get the All-Star Game to Kansas City in 2012. And, he helped the ESPN crew do the Royals' highlights. (Watch this clip on YouTube).
Despite the Royals' record this year, Cook stood by his team. He said, "I think the Royals are about to turn a corner." Although, he admitted it was a small corner.
