Price Chopper Disaster Relief Fund: Each of the metro's 49 Price Chopper stores have donation tear pads at checkout. Shoppers can quickly and conveniently add a $1, $5 or $10 donation to their grocery totals. All money raised will go to the American Red Cross's relief efforts in Haiti. $10 Donations: Text "HAITI" to 90999 and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts, charged to your cell phone bill. Get more information here.

The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection is accepting donations of the following items that will be used to complete relief kits for Haiti. These kits will be assembled and transported to Haiti in the next few weeks.
  • hand towels (15" x 25" up to 17" x 27"), no kitchen towels, please
  • washcloths
  • bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up)
  • toothbrushes (single brushes only in original wrapper, no child-size brushes)
  • adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages
  • one-gallon plastic ziplock bags
