A report released by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics on Thursday claims that 61 percent of tested children's bath products tested positive for cancer-causing chemicals formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane.
The group says they used an independent lab to test 48 products for the chemicals. Johnson and Johnson, one company whose products were tested, released a statement on their website saying that the chemicals found in their products are trace and meet federal guidelines. (read the statement)
More information, including a list of tested products, can be found at the Campaign for Safe Cosmetic's website.
