KANSAS CITY, MO -
Police have identified the bicyclist who was hit and killed Tuesday morning as Junior Christopher, 33, of Kansas City. He was riding his bike to work at the Isle of Capri Casino.
The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday near Front Street & Independence Ave., in Kansas City, Mo.
At the time, the driver drove off, but an hour and a half later, a man in a semi truck arrived at the scene and told police he may be the person who hit the biker. He told police he may have hit the biker with the ride-hand side of his truck, but there was no visible damage.
The accident happened in an area where there is heavy construction and narrow roads. It is unclear at this time how the accident happened.
Traffic in the area was slow for most of the morning commute, but roads have been reopened.
