Cars for Christmas Helps Metro Families in Need

Christmas came early for several metro families in need of new wheels on Monday. They received keys to gently-used car thanks to a program called Cars 4 Christmas.

One family received a van with a wheelchair lift, and they said they very grateful.

"I think it's a complete blessing," said one recipient. "You know, you really don't how much this is a blessing until you receive one. If you've ever been stuck without transportation for someone like this, you understand."

A total of 20 vehicles were given away at Harrah's casino Monday morning. During the Christmas season, about 100 cars will have been given to metro families.
