OVERLAND PARK, KAN -
Authorities are asking people to check their credit card accounts after some people reported unauthorized charges after using their cards at an Overland Park restaurant.
According to police, the victims of the fraud had all used their credit cards at Llywelyns at 151st and Metcalf. Authorities say that the restaurant is the victim of a "cyber intrusion" into their credit card server.
Authorities suspect that a former employee of the restaurant may be responsible for the fraud.
Overland Park Police and the U.S. Secret Service are working together on the investigation. Police say that anyone who has used a credit card at the restaurant in the last six months are encouraged to monitor their account, and contact the Overland Park Police Department at (913) 327-6855 if they notice any unauthorized purchases.
