Solace House Check Presentation
KANSAS CITY, MO. -
A metro agency that provides grief counseling to children and families gained a financial boost from The Head for the Cure Foundation.
The group presented Solace House with a $10,000 check Tuesday. The money is unrestricted and can be used by the agency in its efforts to aid grief stricken families.
The proceeds are from the 6th Annual Head for the Cure Run and Walk held each September at Corporate Woods. The event also benefits brain tumor research, and is held each year in honor of Chris Anthony, a metro man who died of a brain tumor in 2003.
The 7th Annual Head for the Cure Run/Walk which will also benefit Solace House and brain tumor research is set for August 30, 2009.
