The Chiefs cut eight players Friday, including starting right guard Damion McIntosh. McIntosh started 31 games for KC in 2007 and 2008.
The other casualties were FB Jed Collins, CB Travis Daniels, CB Londen Fryar, C Eric Ghiaciuc, LB Corey Smith, T Herb Taylor and G Tavares Washington.
The Chiefs still must release 14 more players by Saturday to reach the NFL limit of 53.
