KANSAS CITY, MO - The case against Shon Pernice, the husband of missing Northland mother, Renee, was back in court Tuesday.

Shon stood before a judge on felony charges for stealing a neighbor's gun. No decision was rendered, and the case was continued until June.

The charges Shon faces are not related to his wife's disappearance, however it is one of the many reasons Renee's parents are seeking custody of the couple's two children.

Renee Pernice has not been seen since Jan. 2, 2009. Her husband, Shon, is said to be the last person to see her. Police suspect foul play in her disappearance, and her family is seeking the public's help in finding out what happened to her.

Early in the investigation, police released a photo of a truck that was possibly connected to Renee's disappearance.

The reward for a tip that leads police to Renee's whereabouts now stands at $25,000. If you have any information, call the Tips Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.

Shon Pernice will be back in court June 24 to face felony weapons charges.
