OVERLAND PARK, KAN. - There's talk about a possible buyout of Overland Park-based Sprint-Nextel.

Marketwatch is reporting that according to a U.K. paper, The Sunday Telegraph, the parent company of T-Mobile, Deutche Telecom, has hired an adviser to look into a possible takeover.

Sprint-Nextel is the third largest telecommunication company in the U.S. It's valued at over $10 billion.

These reports are not new. But, according to the U.K. paper, talks really became serious within the last few months.
