KANSAS CITY, MO -
An angry mom gave the North Kansas City School Board an earful on Tuesday night after she says she found her 10-year-old autistic daughter naked in a classroom.
Kim Elliot says that her daughter participated in a field day event at her elementary school. She says that the students had gotten wet playing in some water, but she wasn't prepared for what she saw when she stopped by her daughter's classroom.
"When I walked in the door, you could hear teachers saying something like 'Oh, my Gosh,' because somebody was walking through the door," said Elliot, who was volunteering at the school. "But when I walked on in there and asked that question "What the hell's going on?" I was met with 'They're all wet!'"
Elliot told the North Kansas City School Board about the incident, and asked for changes to be made, including putting cameras in all special-needs classes and increased training for all staff.
A district spokesperson told FOX 4 that the incident was unacceptable, and that changes will be made.
