Missouri AG Announces Crackdown on Alleged Locksmith Ring
KANSAS CITY, MO - The State of Missouri is cracking down on a Middle Easter locksmith ring that's operating in the metro area after FOX 4 Problem Solvers alerted Attorney General Chris Koster to customers who were allegedly victimized by the locksmiths.

Koster announced on Thursday that he has filed suit against "Dependable Locks" and all of its more than 16 alias companies, ordering the company to stop defrauding customers.

"One of our goals in coming forward quickly on the heels of important news reports in the area is to amplify to Kansas Citians that this fraudulent practice is out there," said Koster. "Dependable Locks appears to be the most egregious of the offenders. Our investigation will continue to find all them, but we wanted to add in with the voices that this practice is occurring."

If you think you have been one of the victims of the locksmith ring, please call the Missouri Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Hotline at 1-800-392-8222.
