KANSAS CITY, MO -
The oft-maligned Kansas City, Missouri, School Board says that they are trying to change the image of public schools in Kansas City, and they are going back to class to learn how.
"If you're listening to the same conversation I'm hearing, the dominant conversation about the Kansas city Missouri School district is that is is hopelessly broken," said School Board member Airick West, who says that he wants to be part of the solution.
So he came up with School Board School, where about one hundred people have enrolled to learn about running a school district. And those in attendance say that it is going a long way to change the public thinks about the Kansas City School District.
FOX 4's Bob Stepanich is Working for You with the report.
