INDEPENDENCE, MO - A metro soldier can add meeting the President of the United States and the Medal of Excellence to her list of honors. U.S. Army Spc. Keara Bono was shot twice during last week's attack at Fort Hood, Texas, and on this Veteran's Day she was honored for her heroism.
